Whitney Economics was founded in Portland, Oregon in 2014. Initially serving the start up community focus on high-tech and software development, Beau Whitney soon began adding clients in newly merging industries as well, helping clients ramp up their businesses in order to prepare for future growth.
Drawing upon his previous hi-tech experience, Beau has applied his supply chain expertise to the cannabis industry, where he has designed and implemented efficiencies into the cultivation, extraction, edible manufacturing, wholesale and retail distribution operations of a vertically integrated cannabis operation.
Adding in agricultural and economic development analysis to his arsenal, Whitney now has established himself as a leading economist in the hemp and cannabis industries with clientele in North America, Europe, Asia, The Middle East, Africa and South America. His applications of economic principles to create actionable operational and policy recommendations has been recognized by governments, and throughout the economic, investment, business communities.

Whitney is a member of the American Economic Association, the Oregon chapter president of the National Association of Business Economics, is a member of multiple regulatory advisory committees throughout the U.S. and participates on the Oregon Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors.
